Hello,
Please help!
Yesterday here in Barcelona we were treated to a display by a Spitfire, P51 and a SeaFury. A fantastic and frankly extremely rare event over here. The Mustang was especially impressive against the backdrop of the midday sun and a distant sailing regatta.
Through a combination of work responsibilities, family commitments, terrible weather and bad luck I was at Sabadell Airport at the wrong time and missed the arrivals and departures.
Any one out there have a suggestion as to which aircraft were displaying yesterday this far south!

Always happy to oblige, especially for a warbird display.
We flew into Barcelona that morning and I’m glad we noticed the event in Notams and took some extra fuel ! ATC put us into the hold about 20 miles off the coast for about 20 mins. And then vectored us in for an extremely tight turn on to finals for 25L at about 5 miles, in order to keep us clear of the display.
I think our passengers thought we had got ourselves lost :D:D

I did a bit of Googling, and it turns out the event was Festa al Cel de Barcelona. The warbirds appear to have been the Dijon-based Spitfire 19 PS890 and SeaFury F-AZXJ, and the La Ferte Alais based P51 Nooky Booky. There was also a Skyraider, which appears to have been F-AZHK.
