Typhoon Tail Plane (ex. Shoreham)

Does anyone remember who bought the tail plan from the shoreham collection when it was auctioned off? I had a feeling it was the same person/group who bought the cockpit.

Any contacts for who has it now?

Hi,
I saw that one aswell, it was mounted on the wall behind the cockpit. Much of the skin was gone showing the ribs. There tail plane had a large hole in the front from flak damage received….was still in pretty good condition complete with much of the original paint. When it got to around £600 it was definitely more than I could budget at the time…never saw who bought it though.

IIRC when visiting Shoreham in 2003 I saw a Typhoon elevator.

There was definitely a single Horizontal Tail Plane with the elevator….I had an interest in it but if I remeber correctly it went for around £600. Not sure where it went but Roger Marley was there with an interest but also baulked at the cost.

I assumed it went the same way as the cockpit…but looks like it may not have.

I would suggest contacting Bob. If he got one of the parts, he may know where the other part ended up?

AFAIK, it was just an elevator. Bob did post back in May that he still had it.

Any contacts for who has it now?

I only recall seeing an elevator at the Shoreham museum (maybe wrong?), which I’m sure I saw for sale on Bob Trickets stall at Shoreham in March 2012.
