Hurricane nose-art

I am getting heavily into some specific research centred around 151 Squadron Nov 1940 to December 1941 and wonder if anyone can fill in any missing details about this image?

I know who the two airmen are, but the question is; who flew this aircraft, and what is the name hidden by the airman’s head? “Doteye”….”Scoteye”…? The latter may make some sense as it seems to be a Scottish thistle, so perhaps a clue, also, to the pilot?

Any takers?
