Mystery object

Those of you that have visited Southend or one of our open days would have seen our two containers used as line huts, during the ground works this was found, and got us scratching our heads.

Remains of handle, very very corroded so much so that its all but gone.

Its a fairly heavy object no plates or numbers visible but there might be something under all the corrosion, as some of you might know the site of the pan was also the storeage area for the old Southend Aircraft museum before it opened.
