august 2012 update on the Victoria Air Maintenance rebuild.
Seems to be coming along nicely.

When I was building my Falco and people asked me that, as they inevitably would, I would say, “That’s like asking me when I’ll f**k Julia Roberts. It could be tomorrow, could be next week, could be never…”
Okay…we know you finished the Falco, so what about…?:diablo::D

Thanks for that TT. I did realize that my question might raise some ire, so I chose the wording carefully. Obviously not carefully enough!
As you said the was no criticism or disrespect intended in the question.
Very best of luck to all involved with the project.
Regards
Bill

Never ask a build like this when the first flight is…

I personally think that was a little harsh on “Roborough”… It’s quite natural and understandable to get excited about an epic project such as this, and look forward enthusiastically to seeing it in the skies. Intending disrespect to the team; and belittling the enormity and complexity of the task they’re undertaking is quite another thing, and I doubt Roborough meant to upset anyone.
Back to the main theme, this is a most exciting rebuild and it’s great seeing it nearing completion…whenever this is!

Interesting that it is using the original fuselage rather than a new build one.

Mossie first flight
Please take a tip from me, Never ask a build like this when the first flight is… You seem to lose all respect from the team, It takes as long as it takes, and even when a project looks complete there are still usually a thousand and one items that are outstanding or awaiting approval of one sort or another. I think the old addage that when the paperwork weighs the same as the airframe its ready to fly!.
