The museum has a large conference room at our new location. We are considering doing an Aerosale in the autumn/colder months….it could become regular if interest is there. The idea would be to provide a cheap venue with cheap tables and cheap admission (to the sales room). Likely we would also knock the aerosale admission off museum admission costs. Advertising would initially be web based. Our only snag would be that we have limited parking.
It is in its infancy at the moment – so we are gauging interest.
All aviation items could be sold (other than the usual radioactive stuff).

Tony,
Definitely interested (although I’ve never done anything like it before); be a great way to get rid of some/all of the aviation-related junk, I mean stuff, I’ve accumulated in the attic over the past 50 years.

Good idea, why not run it alongside the Old Sarum ‘Vintage Sundays’ fly-ins’ on the first Sunday in the month?

A good idea I am sure it would be very well attended. I have recently published a book and am looking for a similiar location in the south east of England where I could set up a table with books to sell to an aviation crowd, without having to pay the several hundred pounds that the large venues charge.

Possibly. I don’t remember that far back!

There was a jumble at Old Sarum around June-July 1995. Was that the one ?
By: Arabella-Cox - 20th September 2012 at 06:40
I’ll be there….!!
I did run an aerojumble there one summer about twenty years ago, but it was a one-off. As I recall, it was quite well attended.

Cheers Chaps…..will have a look into it. I would be aiming to keep costs down whilst aiming to do a bit of a fundraiser…..it would be a bit like a aeroswapmeet/aerosale, will get back to you!

Providing it would be an aircraft enthusiasts’ fair style with the right kind of sellers, I would definately come and also see the Boscombe Museum.

I would very much like to see such an event at Old Sarum. I’m sure there would be much interest if advertised on the various forums etc.
