Crash of C-53 Switzerland 1946

I just read in a Geneva newspaper that some alpinists recently recovered what they take to be a propellor from the C-53 (42 68846) which force landed on the Gauli glacier in Switzerland on 19 November 1946. This accident is famous as apparently being the first time in which a rescue (of the 12 occupants) was carried out by another aircraft landing on a glacier, 3 days later. It took the Swiss Army Storch 8 rotations to do the job.
