Last Thursday a new resident arrived from St Athan – Hunter T7 WV372. This will be based at Weald Aviation and has been bought by a local businessman. Chris Heames flew it in. It’s great to have a Hunter back on the Airfield again.
Thursday evening also saw the first post-restoration flight of Beech 18 N96240 (ex-G-AYAH). This former RCAF Beech departed to its new home in France on Sunday afternoon after a fly-by and wing waggle. Sad to see her go, but great that she’s back in the air again after sitting forlornly on the grass for many years.
