German (pre) ww2 instruments: information wanted

I have recently found two German instruments that I have no further information of, and am considering an overhaul of them.

– A Horn metric variometer, built in 1937 (possibly from a glider)
– A Ludolph Fk5 compass

Does anybody know where to find more information?
