Fritton lake Thunderbolt(s)

Any idea if the search for the two P47’s that crashed into Fritton lake has ever resumed?

The was an outboard section of wing in a U.K museum. Flypast did an article on the recovery years ago and it featured in that.

I was over there with the kids yesterday; some small parts of a P47 are displayed, along wih the two propeller blades, but it does state that most of one aircraft was recovered.

If the wing went to Wright Patt, where did the rest of it go?
