A new exhibition in Southend Central Museum features artifacts retreved off the seabed off Southend, from bottles and pipes to leather boots.
However the largest and most appropriate item for these forums would be the Jumo 211!
The engine came from a He111 and will be on show in Southend until September, not sure who owns it, if you are in the Southend area its well worh popping in to take a look.
I only had my mobile phone with me at the time, so the pics are not great.

Whilst not on show at present, the Southend Museum also hold a small section of Heinkel He 111H-2 Werk Nr. 5532 AI+JL of 3/KG55 it was shot down on 30th August 1940 crashing on to Lifstan Way.
Of the crew:
Feldwebel von Kuehnheim (KIA)
Unteroffizier Sam (KIA)
Obergefreiter Fischer (KIA)
Leutnant Roesler (POW)
Unteroffizier Gall (POW)

Took this photo when it was on a rare outing back a few years back.

The Jumo is on loan from the Imperial War Musuem and I’ve my memory serves me correctly ~ was found and recovered from the ground on which Canary Wharf was built.
