Does anyone know the whereabouts of the air traffic control logbooks for these airfields? Especially the late 1940s-60s?
Similarly has anyone come across logbooks of the former DH production test pilots:
Pike, Hanslip, Fossett, P Wilson, J Wilson, Fairbrother, Capper, Barlow, Clear, Errington, Bugge
….and anyone else anyone can think of (I’ve purposefully omitted Cunningham, Derry, Fillingham and Penrose).
All leads gratefully received.
Lee
EDIT: I’ve already tried The Moth Club (who in turn have asked BAES Farnborough) and de Havilland Support at Duxford, all of which has drawn a blank.

Received your last Lee, but you need to make room in your PM box for my reply!

Pagen – you’d best pm me.
Bruce – I got a response from a certain individual last week. Just said that the Leavesden logs were there (albeit probably only the latter ones and therefore of no use) but no idea about the H and Ch ones. No mention of black books…:-(
Graham – I haven’t; not sure it’s something they would have been interested in but I may try them.
I’m mainly interested in Dove/Devon and Heron first flight dates and movements to/from manufacturers. Anyone out there with good, reliable info?

Lee has been trying to get hold of someone at SH, but as a lot of the old guard have gone, its difficult for the newer members to know where the stuff is. I am sure that the Leavesden logs are at SH. Possibly the Hatfield ones too.

I’ve been having trouble also with them Bruce – ever since John’s funeral I cannot get anyone to answer any emails – despite me having some stuff for them!

I’ve been trying there as well re early Vixen stuff, and meeting a brick wall, frustrating as there is possibly a great archive ready to be tapped into. I really want to find the document that John Wilson wrote about the flight trials.
In fact Bruce has been the best DH resource so far!
