Remove Before Flight Flags

Did they use Remove Before Flight Flags on the aircraft fitted ground equipment during WW2?

If so, does anyone have examples/pictures etc.

I just thought about it this morning and cant recall any pictures of stuff like this off the top of my head

I have seen old RBF flags which are fabric long thin triangles, with no wording – not sure if wartime or not though.

The Gliders did, although I doubt they had reflective stripes and ‘Remove before Flight’ printed on the penants.
