Bazv ; Thank you very much for your contribution and the fantastic drawings. The Polish museum website was known to me but can’t find the record of the BMW801 engine. Sadly I must say that the hood not fit to this type of engine according to the drawing). I have options as two Do217’s crashed in the vicinity of east of Best (one 217E-4 1942 and one 217M-1 1943). As you probably know the 217M-1 have Daimler Benz 603a engines so maybe the hood is from that type of a/c???
