Meet the bomber boys!! July 15th 2012.

Hi,

A heads up, you can meet the “bomber boys” at the Wings Museum near Balcombe on Sunday July 15th 2012. This is possibly going to be their last public signing. Proceeds in aid of the Bomber Command Memorial Fund.

This is a rare opportunity to meet a remarkable group of men who, as young men, flew all the British ‘heavy’ bombers of WW2—the Lancaster, the Halifax and the Stirling, as well as the remarkable Mosquito Fighter/Bomber. Among their number are 3 holders of the D.F.C., aircrew who ‘baled out’ of their stricken aircraft and were detained as PoWs, ‘Pathfinder’ pilots and members of 617 ‘Dambuster’ squadron.

Please see website for more details (link at bottom of my post).

So come on! there hasn’t been a better time to visit the museum if it has been on your “to see” list for some time.

Hope to see some of you there.

I wonder if it will be Tom Bennett DFM, last surviving crewman of 617’s Mosquito contingment?
