This annual event was held yesterday. From the historic point of view, the Jet Age Museum’s collection was on display, together with Classic Flight’s Anson and Auster. There were two Stearman in the hangar together with a half scale FW190. The BBMF Hurricane did several very sporting flypasts but the absolute highlight was spending the day with ‘Spitfire woman’ Joy Lofthouse. She was delightful and sharp as ninepence and it was great to see her back at the controls of the Anson, a type she last flew in 1945.
