Beauvechain 1945

Are there any (Belgian) members lurking out here who are familiar with Beauvechain air base, especially around 1944-45? The air base was called A-89 – Le Culot airfield as well.

I am especially interested in the B-26 unit which were based at this airbase. Up what I understood it was 322nd Bombarment Group Medium.

I wonder if any of these 322nd BG members are still alive and remember the local area. Am in contact with a woman who was 15 years old at the time and am trying to look for names for her. Up to privacy I will not add her name but if you have some good information please contact me through PM or email.
