Hi Cees

No, come on, you know me better than that.

The first parts of the Whitley centre section are now in the jig. In fact I was welding up steel tube two days ago…

The Whitley is as important as ever

Are you sidetracking from the Whitley Elliott?

I now have a GA drawing for frame 11. I obviously need a few more drawings – i’ll go back to Hendon as suggested…

I’ve got an accurate frame 11 profile in CAD if that’s any good?
Drawn up using the Supermarine Layout chart.

The Hendon MAC lists does include the Supermarine drawing numbers. Frame 11 appears to be drawing number 30027 13G and is MAC 366. Alternative method of manufacture is 30027 171G, MAC 823.

Hope that helps

The drawing no. is 30027 sheet 13G; according to one list, the MAC no. is 366, with MAC 823 showing an alternative method of manufacture.

I do somewhere!

I’ll take a look.

The drawings are filed under an accession number – MACxxxx, but they are cross referenced in an index file, by part number.

Yes, i’m sure they are there somewhere, but the last time I visited the drawings were all filed under the RAFM catalogue number, not the supermarine drawing number! I was hoping someone might have a set of drawings on a CD… If only life was so simple…
