Remebering Korea 62years on – June 1950 RAAF Mustangs

Latest story covers the RAAF in Korea – the Korean War started in June 1950 and the RAAF were quick to be in the thick of it within days flying P-51 Mustangs on combat missions either as bomber escort or ground attack missions. I have done 2 photo shoots in NSW to honour their legacy in 2008 and 2010 both producing extremely realistic results –

On a related topic…it seems like a good time to ask a question:D
Why didn’t the RAF particapte in air-to-air combat?
The RAAF was there, and a RN carrier force.
So aside from seconded officers, I’m not aware of RAF fighter or bomber ops in Korea.
