“A private monoplane which aroused much
curiosity as to its ownership was the green
Avro.” belonging to Flight Lieutenant Atcherley,
who has had a powerful swivel searchlight
fitted to the underneath of the
port, side wing, so that he can effect night
landings without, the necessity for ground
flares.”
