Went for a cycle ride to my local haunt at Tatton Park in Cheshire to be greated by the tail section of G-TBIC being used as an art piece.

That isn’t art, its a waste of a good airframe…draw a line on a piece of paper and calling it ‘life’ that can be classed as art.

I wonder if they left the back bog in it, so it is of some use.

What i forgot to add was. I can just imagine what performing arts may be happening after dark also “elf and insanity” won’t have a rudder and air brakes in case any little scrote gets his fingers stuck and sues the council for vast amounts of dosh. Give it a month anyway and it will be covered in grafitti if the hedge monkies have not weighed it in down the local scrappy.
Or do I just have a cynical view of this fair land today?

Did any of the artists bother to research Tatton Park’s historical aeronautical conections?
The closest is the glider piece and even that seems to be hung up on Barbara Cartland.

Part of the Tatton Biennial it seems.
From their website: “This third edition of the Biennial considers the human urge to fly, to accomplish the impossible in fragile times.”

The tail section seems to be more of a venue for performance art than simply a painting on a tail:

And the Colditz glider has inspired this one:

I sometimes wish contemporary artists would make the art easier to understand by us mere mortals.
