S/Ldr Eeles and his whirlwind ( a question )

Hi All,
Bit of a long shot…………..
S/Ldr Eeles picked out his own whirlwind at westlands, and I am trying to locate the serial, but it seems he only flew one operational flight, one hour long, on the 1st dec 40 in P6974, however P6974 seems to have been used by many pilot whilst he was C.O.
Anyone know if P6974 was his personal whirlwind ?
