Since losing grandma earlier in the year, all sorts of interesting old memorabilia is surfacing. The latest is an old newspaper supplement that came from Birmingham’s Evening Mail 30 years ago today, April 26th 1982. Since it came from Birmingham, I have to assume that my Uncle Ted (Normandy veteran) gave it to my grandad (wireless operator on Lancasters) way back when it was originally published.
It’s a bit big to scan, so I took pictures. If you click the pictures, it will take you to the photo’s Flickr page. From there you can find full resolution versions which seem to be mostly readable. If anyone needs a better version of any article, let me know, as I should be able to scan small sections easily enough.
I just thought it would be interesting to share.
Bye for now,
Stuart.
