Its certainly unusual and wartime in design, must have fitted to a pretty small aircraft may be worth researching fuel capacitys for the smaller wartime aircraft.

Thanks for the comments. It is such a nice gauge that it would be good to find the correct home for it.

Came with a bunch of instruments from an old instrument repair shop in New Zealand. It could be from an early civil type or perhaps a military 30’s/40’s type. A few military possibilities from NZ operated aircraft are Vildebeeste, Baffin, Gordon, DH 4/9, Walrus.

It has me beat.

Hi Mike,

Can you give us an idea of the location where you found it? Perhaps if local it might be from a civil type, as it does not appear on the RAAF instrument parts listing tables, and that covers a lot of aircraft.

Hi Graham

No markings on the gauge, but the box has 1085/FG.

Thanks

Mike
