Spitfire Hanging on my Garage Door

Hello

As an avid Spitfire Fan, I have spent some time drawing this on computer and had it cut out at the Laser cutting company I work for.

What do you think?

Regards 🙂

2D .DXF files are never very large – even for complex drawings – prob only a couple of meg or so….

Yes that’s right.

But when you make the laser cutting program, the program is very much larger and the machine controller. Can only read so much information……….

Slightly off topic ..but it does have wings.

Here is Rebecca Shipton’s paper cut from 1807. That is nearly 100 years before the Wrights took to the air.

Can you image a 74 year old women cutting this out of a piece of paper with just, one imagines, a cut throat razor?

This is one of pair my father bought for a few shillings in the 1950’s.

Nice work! How large is your drawing (100Mb++)? And what software do you use?
You must have a 3D drawing as well with this as a projection?

Difficult to photograph.

Was Drawn in Autocad in 2D, as I trained as a Technical Illustrator. Sigmanest Laser cutting Software.
