Reading the news piece on the YAM Devon – it described its received condition as a ‘hulk’ – was it really that bad ? I thought a lot of work was carried out on her at Redhill.

Guys.
I imagine no offence was ever intended with the press release.
I suspect that the release was written by someone who was not aware of the condition it arrived and is not actually and ‘aircraft’ person.
To the uninitiated the arrival of a fuselage with no wings, engines and various other components attached and pallets full of items might look like a major undertaking etc. Also the guys have spent a LOT of hours and effort in getting her this far. Why don’t you come up on Sunday and see the workmanship for yourselves and chat to the guys (& Gals) who were involved?
I know that YAM have been very grateful for all the close support they have received from the Devon’s previous owners.

Speaking of which, now the Devon’s official, a couple of pics from first start-up…

Well done to the team, great work! 😀

Hulk seems rather harsh. But it has still taken a LOT of hard work to bring her up to her current excellent condition.
