C-54 at North Weald

Is there any further news of the c-54 at North Weald, they are still for sale with Sherman aircraft sales.Does anyone else think they should be preserved but are they now needing too much work for them to fly again. How come the Berlin Airlift is not so celebrated?:)

Is there any update on the fate of these 2 aircraft and how easy is it to get to photograph?

It’s parked at the far side of the Weald Aviation ramp. A 200-300mm lens will probably suffice from the car park at Wings Cafe (chances are there will be aircraft between you and the C-54 though), but if you want to get closer you’ll need to find a member of staff to ask as you need to cross the live ramp to get there.

There is only one now, and fairly easy to photograph.
