Mystery wireless set relic

Can anyone suggest an ID for this wireless set relic? It came from a Whitley that was lost in May 1940.

It’s aluminium, 11″ long and is embossed with what looks like 10A/9175. There are two holes for cables at the base – there is some more embossed writing – one says ‘HT’, the other is difficult to read due to corrosion but may say ‘SB’.

If it is from a wireless set, from the period May 1940 it’s most likely to be from either a R1082, T1083 or a TR9.

Does it look familiar to anyone? Apologies for the poor quality of the pic! It was a mobile phone job i’m afraid.
