Among a box of scrap Wyvern bits i’ve got are these two items which i’ve spent some time on cleaning and straightening for a bit of fun, but just couldn’t work out what they were. Anyway after studying a photo i’ve had for years of a Wyvern being armed up, i’m now pretty sure that they are the remains of the air starter plug access panel (hanging down in the centre of the pic), including the little ‘scoop’ that was located on the inside of the door. Both item part numbers begin WA4 11, the 11 indicating front fuselage.
For me its always nice to try and i.d. even the most knackered pieces of aeroplane. Just a shame they are not in better nick, Hey ho 🙂
