Wasnt there a vidoe or update out saying it would be next year for jerry’s mossie?

I’m not aware of any public update to what was mentioned in January
http://rnzaf.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=Airshows&thread=15066&post=143738

The plan is for it to be certified in New Zealand before going on display at a special show planned at Ardmore, ahead of its delivery to the US. It will then have to be recertified in the US before it can fly in a show there.

Warren expects plenty of interest from the public when it appears at Ardmore.

“It will be a unique opportunity for people to see the plane. We’re expecting that to happen in the third quarter this year.”

My money’s on the Avspecs machine – but wouldn’t it be great to have the two machines in the air together? One can dream!

Ardmore NZ or Vancouver Mosquito to fly first.

Very close – what one seems to lack, the other has (engines for one thing!) and even then the Jens machine has them waiting to be fitted. It looks like they could fly within weeks of each other but I would bet on the Avspecs machine if I had to go one way or the other! They are both beautiful aircraft 🙂

Not holding my breath!

Oh don’t worry, you lot in the UK – the ‘People’s Mosquito’ will soon be up and about and appearing at an airshow near you!
