Last weekend was lucky enough to see Gate Guard’s latest recreation, a P-51D destined for America. A wonderful job has been done in detailing the airframe and I was surprised how big they are when split down into components and not sitting on an undercarriage.
As we speak, the airframe has been containerised and is on its way to Alabama to be unveiled at a Tuskegee airmen reunion by President Obama.
