North Weald Fly In 2012

Air Britain will be holding their Classic Fly-in over the weekend of 9-10 June. This year they are featuring the Piper Cub and Aeronca.

The community fun day is on Sunday 9 September. The theme this year is ‘Norwegian Wings over North Weald’, and is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the arrival of 331 and 332 Squadrons at the Airfield in 1942. Once again we are expecting the F-16s of the two squadrons from Bodø. Last time they arrived on the Friday afternoon.

We will also have a variety of warbirds and classic jets on show, but things are still in the planning stages at the moment.

There is also a fly-in planned for April, but the date and theme are still to be confirmed, and if the plans come together it will be a well worth a visit!
