Fighter Pilot

I had the pleasure of lunching with 92 year old FlyLt Lt Murray Adams RAAF last Sunday. He flew with 250 and 80 Sqns in the desert, Italy and Europe. An amazing chap who still has all his faculties and drives himself.

He was shot down near Tobruk in 1941 me Bf109. Looking for any details on his service with these squadrons. He told me that he once led the Tempest Wing [36 aircraft] on a mission over France as a Flg Off when the OC and his Co went unserviceable…
