Lets have some glamour – how about Fair Fighters Revenge ?

Johnny Walker was my personal fave, hope another colourful scheme is picked. I’d love to see it in white & black of the tiger force.

Maybe not the Tallboy then it’s very close to it’s major then hopefully it’s as good as the Phantom of the Ruhr.

The Lanc is stripped for examination at each major service (about 6 years) It is then repainted in the scheme of a Lanc that did at least 100 ops.

I’m sure Fluffy will be along in a while, but I’m fairly sure that the lanc gets new colours every major. The Coventry one was an obvious re-paint point since we had to split it in half and re-dope anyway. I’m not sure when the next one is due.

That’s a lovely scheme but I’d like to see a Tallboy coulors.

I’ll be glad to see a new scheme on the Lanc- for some reason that I’ve never been able to put my finger on, I’ve never liked the ‘Phantom’ one as much as I did ‘Mickey The Moocher’. (I guess this is where I trot out my oft-spoken hope that ‘474 will one day represent Hendon’s ‘S-Sugar’- I would love to see that scheme in the air!)

Im aware the lancaster has a cycle its a certain amaount of year before they repaint.I’m not sure how long it it had mickey the moocher nose art work Does anyone know:confused:?

Recall PA474 being in the paint shop at Coventry when I did my Dak flight there in 2006 – so it’s only 5 years since it got a complete rubdown and respray – is there enough money in the coffers for it to be done again so soon?…

Colours are normally done when they are in for a major service, the Lanc one is coming up soon hence why they are building a hangar at Duxford, see the ARCo gets a new hangar thread 🙂 so possibly then.

As for the 19 I do not know.
