Hi,
I’m working on an article about the dissolution/destruction of the Luftwaffe after WWII. In that connection I’m looking for a few pictures to illustrate the scale of the work. The article is likely to be published (I hope), so the images should be traceable for copyright etc.
I have a small collection from various web-sources, but since I can’t vouch for their copyright status I’m unable to use them. I would be very happy if someone could point me to a public domain collection (I know the American government has thousands of PD images online, but I have not found any really good ones). I would also appreciate if anyone would offer a few images from their private collection, but due to the nature of articles like this I can’t offer more than attribution in return.

Hi Wieesso,
Thanks. I had seen a few of them, but the Fold3 gallery was new to me and might hold what I’m looking for.

I would be happy enough if someone could point me towards some online pictures (not IWM), so I can contact the owner and negotiate a deal 😎
