There was also a reference to a Bristol Freighter in the dialogue, would’ve like to have seen that 😀

Just finished watching series, there was indeed scope for more, great pity it wasn’t followed up.
Still, great series, glad to see it re-released 😎
Blimey that was quick work, I have only watched the first disc:eek:
Yes it was a great series a great shame that it ended so soon, I know uncle David had allready started a Model for an Avro York and I think a Conni was on the way as well:)

The second series was to have featured the Constellation now in the Science Museum’s Wroughton collection. It would have been made capable of ground-running but not airworthy.
Much of Airline was filmed at Blackpool Airport – I have some photos of the Dakotas there somewhere!

A fabulous series and i so wish theyd found the funding for a second and third series as im led to believe that Wilfred Greatorex had them written.

Airline.
Ive been lucky to have been watching Airline for the past fifteen years or so as i approached yorkshire tv and they kindly sent me copies of the series on VHS along with some stills and promotional literature from the series including a bank statement with Ruskin Air Services logo from his bank in Garton, all treasured possessions , i too have ordered my DVD copies as the old VHS is getting grainy now.A fabulous series and i so wish theyd found the funding for a second and third series as im led to believe that Wilfred Greatorex had them written.
