Interesting image of Longman airport, Inverness 1947

Stumbled on this image in ‘Scotland’s Places’ website, taken by an RAF Mosquito in 1947, showing the old Longman airport, Inverness, now an industrial estate.
Another caption mentions that the JU.52 beside the sheds is ex-Luftwaffe, and that’s a Short Stirling being scrapped in the bottom right.
Two of the sheds are still there (can’t tell from Google Maps if they still have camo!), and also the hangar…

Great! The photo was shot only two months before “On 31 August 1947 the last civil movement occurred at Longman and from now on all civil operations were based on Dalcross.”

GE has a photo from January 1945 (without any aircraft – presumably censored)

BEA round then used JU52s on Scottish routes. They called them Jupiter Class.
