Hunter XL563

seen some photos recently, anyone know who the owner is and his intentions

do you reckon he’d want it restored to taxing condition in exchange for running it at brunty, as we’ve done with the JP’s

If I remember correctly, it was gutted before it was mounted onto the pole at Farnborough.

Yes, I was thinking that from this page, http://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.uk/hunter/survivor.php?id=269, or has there been a substantial improvement since?

I remember seeing it mounted on a pole outside the old RAF Officers Mess at Farnborough.

XL563 is the one at Southmoor in Oxfordshire.

The cockpit is completely gutted and when I saw it last year there was no rear fuselage.

The wings were still on the trailer with the forward fuselage on the ground.

Do not think it is a very good candidate for ground running
