Hi guys,
I’ve had this radome in the shed for a while now, but have no idea what aircraft it would have came from or its age, so was hoping someone out there would be able to shed some light on it!
I can’t seem to find much info on Marconi, other than that it was a telecomunications company, bought by English Electric in 1946 and eventually ended up being merged into BAE.
The radome has no writing on it, other than “UP” on one side and the placard on the rim. I’m guessing it’s not that old, as its made from fibreglass, but i have no idea!
It’s about 5ft tall and the base is around 2ft wide.
Any help would be gratefully appriciated!
Cheers guys.
P.s – I cant seem to upload more than one image, so the placard inside says the following:
MARCONI COMPANY LIMITED
ENGLAND
RADOME
IDENTITY AA01-2014-01
1430-99-223-2014
SER. NO 108
WEIGHT (Faded)
Also has the MOD Record sticker with 1 and 2 out of 20 lined out.

The dimensions you have given would rule out Martel. Also the length to diameter ratio shown by your photo seems a bit high for a missile application.
