Southampton 'Aeronautica' museum plans stalled

The plans for a waterfront museum in Southampton have hit a major snag after the landowner, Associated British Ports, withdrew the offer of a plot of land on which the museum would have been built.
It did seem a nice idea as the new museum would have contained all the aviation exhibits, including the Sandringham, from the current ‘Solent Sky’ site as well a a lot of nautical attractions. Alternative options are being investigated.
Better still would have been to move to Lee on Solent and combine it all with the Hovercraft museum, then it could have been a live museum with a slipway to the sea and aircraft, boats and hovercraft could have been all in one place. But thats just me just dreaming.
