Can anyone identify this?

I have a WWII turret from the Pacific, only number I can find is a casting number on a gearbox – 128 – . It has a stainless cartridge shoot with a trapdoor on the bottom. It has some corrosion but is restorable. Does this have any value ? Any information would be useful.
