Thunderbirds and Blue Angels F4s

whilst doing a spot of research for a new title i was lucky enough to speak to a couple of guys who were on both teams ( engineers). THe stories they told were fascinating and only made me more in awe of the displays they performed. I actually saw the Blues and Angels with F4s at Bentwaters in 1970-71 – anyone please feel free to add details as this is i believe why this forum is so good. The Blues had a pretty bad accident record – they lost 10 aircraft between 1969-1974 sadly they lost 3 in a mid air. known losses are 153072,079,080,081,082 and 083 !!- I’ll add more info during the week but I’m out of UK so away from my notes.
