Identifying fragment of Battle of Britain Hurricane

Hallo

I have a photo of a fragment metal from a Battle of Britain Hurricane. Sadly, I can’t upload it to the forum but the visible lettering, as arranged on the fragment, is as follows:

MATIC STRUT
TS OF D.T.D. 44 B. OIL
& CARRYING NO LOAD
.S/SQ. IN. ISSUE 5
REPLACE VALVE CAP

If anyone can identify this, and or tell me the full text of the lettering and what it means, I would appreciate it. I can email the photo if needs be but I just can’t upload it!
