Nose cone used for Chickens in deepest Worcestershire

I have often driven passed what appears to be a aircraft nose cone along the A442 Droitwich-Kidderminster road. It is situated a matter of feet from the busy road and has some of vegetation slowly, but surely, starting to cover it!
The time had come to investigate further.
So this afternoon, before picking up the tribe from school, i called into the adjacent farm shop and enquired on the chicken coop/nose cone. The lady at the counter was full of information having worked, along with the rest of her family, at the near-by 25 M.U (R.A.F Hartlebury) many years ago. She did confirm it indeed is a nose cone from a aircraft, but, unfortunately, she did not know from what type.

It is approx 10 feet long and some 6 feet wide by 3-4 feet high. The only visible alloy is the strip along the open end complete with rivet holes.
