Sum up:

109 over Ireland? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
Tractor lines? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
Both landing with only one wing ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
Fuselage disappearing? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

And may I add; The pilots head when in the Spit is way too low.

So;

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: and ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

But I enjoyed it. Always enjoy a good dogfight post Battle of Britain 1969.

You obviously have not heard about the fleet of aircraft carriers that Germany had tucked away, made of an ersatz version of Pykrete, they regrettably thawed out & dissolved into the Irish Sea…..

Hm… seems Iยดve missed this one on History Channel. :p

However, I can`t see any reason why they shouldn`t have coded a Ju-88
or HE-111 into their Macs… it`s CGI, after all.

But anyway… ich liebe Merkwรผrdiges, Herr Doktor. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Fiction is fiction, ok… but a 109 over Ireland?

…and whilst Jerry might have flown with a sidearm, would your average (I’m assuming it’s) Battle of Britain era RAF fighter pilot have routinely carried one?

I would have thought that operating over friendly territory there would no need and anyway, with the ever present possibility of coming down on neutral territory, surely he would have been expressly forbidden to carry a gun on his person lest his intentions be misconstrued by the Irish?

I love a good nitpick! ๐Ÿ™‚

Let us not dwell too much on the inaccuracys, enjoyed both of these.

Thought it was very good,warts ‘n’ all.

also liked his other movie http://vimeo.com/30230876 featuring Keir Dullea of 2001/2010 fame.

Not bad for such a small production… but they should have spent a few pennies more and hire a native The German without a foreign accent. :rolleyes:

Im’e having an anorak moment here and pointing out that the field they fly over when they first drop to low level has ‘tram lines’ all over it. These tracks are left by the tractor when the crop is sprayed with insecticide, fungicide or herbicide. This activity did not happen in those far off days.

Richard

I seem to be the only one who noticed the Spitfire’s fuselage “disappearing” after the pilot gets out??

You could also have pointed out how unlikely it is that a Spitfire would be duelling a single engined Me over Ireland (North or South) in the first place…:rolleyes:
