A friend in the States told me of a DVD which relates the story of a B29 that crashed in ice and snow,(I don’t know the location) and I was led to believe it was found and recovered. I went on to Amazon, and thay have the DVD on sale, but it’s for region 1 only. Is there any way around this problem, as it sounds as if it’s a good story, and apparently true.

Longshot. I didn’t manage to see all of it on Utube, and failed to realise a man had died. Yet another reason to try and get the DVD and watch the whole documentary without missing anything.

Kee Bird recovery Documentary
I think this documentary which was shown on British TV as ‘The Treasure of the Humboldt Glacier’ with a British voiceover, I think, runs rings round any conceivable fictional story. The tragedy of the death of Rick at the end of the first attempt then the fire just at the moment of success put this documentary onto another level. I always thought it deserved Cinema release and something about the story reminds me of the fictional ‘Treasure of the Sierra Madre’ Bogart movie.

Google your DVD player model and region free, some can be made to play region 1 or region free (all regions) by a sequence of keystrokes, after all it is only the software, the players are the same the world over.

If you don’t take risks, you never succede at any challenge.
Sad, they got so close.
But the incident could have had a much worse ending.
