Testbed mossie

My dad was in the army on national service as were ten of thousands like him! on his camp at winterbourne Gunner in wiltshire was a mosquito w/o engines but otherwise intact and in very good condition, the official line was it was their for testing of various chemicals and substances on its surfaces, as it was part of the joint school of biological and chemical warfare, but it was never used for this during my dads two years of residence, can anyone tell me more of its origins and final fate?
