Taylorcraft gliders

Can anyone assist be telling me whether the British Taylorcraft (Auster) Model H glider was a direct copy of the American Taylorcraft TG-6 glider? As the former was constructed using an American builtTaylorcraft B G-AFKO (imported into the UK before WW2) and the latter used the Taylorcraft L-2 as its basis, one might immediately leap to the conclusion that the former was not a copy of the latter. But the L-2 was effectively the military designation for Taylorcraft D and, if my understanding is correct, there was a great deal of commonality between the B and the D. So perhaps it would not have been difficult to construct essentially the same three seat training glider regardless of whether one started with a B or D (L-2) airframe. Furthermore the TG-6 dates from (I think) 1941 whereas the Model H first flew (I can’t ascertain the design date) in 1943. Anyhow, if the Model H was not a copy of the TG-6, does anyone know in what respects they differed?
