Fact or Myth? The West End photo shop.

A long time back I read in the autobiography of an Eighth Airforce crewmember that there was a shop in London, possibly close to Piccadilly, that was used by a lot of his colleagues to have their snapshots developed and printed (Younger readers can Google for an explanation of that archaic process)

After the war – the story went – returning POWs reported that Luftwaffe interrogators were able to show them many images from their own bases. The explanation eventually being that the shop had been run by a German agent / sympathiser.

It’s a great story, does anybody have any more insight?
