Help needed in ID this part and type

Got this part this afternoon, said te be from a WW2 crashsite, but isn’t that allways the story. Anyway, it looks like some kind of flap. Inside is an unreadable plate, aswell as a readable one. Being no expert, I wonder if the type and part can be Identified?
